Jefferson Parish Schools has finalized its principal appointments for the 2019-20 school year. The full list of principals can be viewed below. The district made three rounds of principal appointments to fill vacancies at its schools. JP Schools leadership made principal appointments earlier than in previous years. It was a strategic decision aimed at laying the groundwork for improved student outcomes in 2019-20 and beyond.
“We made a big push this year to fill our principal vacancies much earlier,” said JP Schools Superintendent Dr. Cade Brumley. “Now these leaders can start meeting their teachers and staff, filling vacancies with highly qualified candidates, and plotting out what success will look like next year.”

These principal appointments are part of the district’s strategic effort to identify vacancies and hire school leaders early. By hiring principals earlier, these school leaders are able to identify vacancies at their new schools earlier and hire teachers during the heart of the teacher recruiting season.
