Arts Integration

lincolnipadpipWIDE640400The comprehensive arts integration program is designed for students who have a strong interest in dance, drama, music, and art as well as for students who want a challenging academic experience. The curriculum is designed to incorporate the arts into the core classes to help deepen and broaden student understanding while adhering to the state mandated learning objectives and parish policies.

Schools:

French & Spanish Language Immersion

The French and Spanish immersion programs develop student proficiency in a second language while providing a foundation in fundamentals of language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, health, physical education and cultural arts programs. The program fosters an understanding of and an appreciation for Louisiana’s cultures and those of other areas and countries.

Schools:

International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO)

IBO programs develop the whole student, helping students to grow intellectually, socially, aesthetically and culturally. They provide a broad and balanced education that includes science and the humanities, languages and mathematics, technology and the arts. They instill a sense of responsibility towards others and towards the environment. IBO programs also give students an awareness and understanding of their own culture and of other cultures, values and ways of life.

Schools:

Montessori

Montessori education is an educational approach characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development. Students in the early elementary grades learn concepts from working with materials, rather than by direct instruction, and enjoy choices of activity from within a prescribed range of options.
