The Louisiana Department of Education released 2014-2015 school and district report cards recently. The Jefferson Parish Public School System (JPPSS) continued to show gains, maintaining its letter grade of a B and increasing its District Performance Score.

Five JPPSS schools scored in the state’s top 10 public schools. Haynes Academy ranked third, Patrick Taylor Academy ranked fourth, Thomas Jefferson High ranked sixth, Metairie Academy ranked eighth, and Ruppel Academy ranked ninth. Among the top 20, Gretna No. 2 Academy scored fourteenth and Airline Park Academy scored nineteenth.
Twelve JPPSS schools received the letter grade of an A and 24 schools received a B.
