The Jefferson Parish Public School System Work Ready U Adult Education Program is offering free day and night classes. Registration takes place January 3 and 4. Classes begin January 8.
Classes are offered in a variety of skills, including English as a Second Language, adult basic education, English literacy, family literacy, high school equivalency, career pathway, transitional skills, life skills, skills assessment, digital literacy, financial literacy, and career awareness. Online distance learning classes are also offered.
Registration for day classes can be done at the JPPSS Administration Building at 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey or at the Shrewsbury Adult Learning Center at 1108 Shrewsbury Rd. in Jefferson. Registration hours are 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30 a.m.
Registration for night can be done at the JPPSS Administration Building and at Bonnabel Magnet Academy High School at 2801 Bruin Drive (Building 100, 2nd floor) in Kenner. Registration is at 5 p.m.
